MODEM

 To be able to connect to the Internet, a network requires a peripheral called a modem (modulator de modulator). Modem is an electronic circuit that functions to convert digital signals into analog (modulated), and change analog signals into digital (demodulation), so that could be transmitted through the channels available. In general, the transmission lines to transfer data in analog form, while the data produced by the source terminal digital form. Digital data that has been converted to analog by a modem and then transmitted via cable and received by the second modem which will convert into digital form. 1. Internal Modem

Internal modem is a modem in the form of card that is installed on one of the existing expansion slot on the motherboard. Shape as below.




2. External Modem
External modem installed in pairs outside the computer device. Installation mode which relates to one of the existing communication port on the computer. Fig external modem form as below
